01 / The experience
Less to answer.
More to work with.
Practice explaining the work behind your CV, not memorising another list of interview questions.
- CV + target role
Bring your context.
Add your background and CV, then a target role and job description. Two short setup screens make the practice relevant to you.
- Up to 3 questions
Make your experience speak.
Answer up to three broader questions in a chat. Explain decisions, evidence and trade-offs in your own words.
- Personal review
Leave with a next move.
Review your score, the gaps in your evidence and concrete practice recommendations. Optional coaching helps you express an answer more clearly.
02 / Inside the app
See the actual
experience.
These are current signed-release screens from a fictional interview with real OpenAI API results. Select a stage to explore.
03 / Know what you use
AI coaching.
Clear boundaries.
InterviewCoach is practice, not a hiring decision. Feedback can be wrong; you can report AI content from inside the app.
- GPT-4.1 via OpenAI API
- The running app sends relevant CV, role and answer content to OpenAI to generate questions, coaching and reports. No terminal-model fallback.
- Local, content-free diagnostics
- Self-hosted Langfuse records allowlisted technical metadata, not your CV, answers, prompts or generated feedback.
- Your installation protects access
- The Android client stores an encrypted installation secret. Reopening a completed interview does not generate it again; reinstalling can lose access.
04 / Before you start
A few good
questions.
No hidden promises. Here is what the current release does.
How long is an interview?
There are two setup screens, up to three interview questions and a final review. There is no promised completion time: your answer length and the server queue affect the wait.
Which AI model is used?
The current production default is OpenAI API GPT-4.1. InterviewCoach does not switch to a terminal model or DeepSeek if a request fails.
What happens when the service is busy?
Model work is queued with bounded capacity and concurrency. The app shows waiting status; at capacity, it asks you to retry rather than accepting unlimited work. Waiting can be longer during busy periods.
Does the app record my voice?
No microphone recording is used. New questions are read aloud by default using an installed offline Android voice. Turn this off in Settings and help → Settings. If no compatible offline voice is installed, the full question remains readable; there is no cloud speech fallback.
Can I read the entire review?
Yes. Choose “Read the full report” to open a selectable, scrollable reading view. All recommendations, strengths, improvement points and score explanations are included. You can also expand individual passages in Review.
Is it available on Google Play?
Yes. Install InterviewCoach from Google Play. The operator verified production code 19 / 0.3.0-rc2 as available on October 9, with 178 selected countries and regions. A direct signed APK is a secondary option. It uses the upload signing key; Play delivery may use a different signing key. Keep your existing installation channel and do not uninstall or clear app data to switch: that can lose access to previous interviews.
How do I request deletion or report a problem?
Use the support page for help and deletion requests. Support verifies ownership before deleting records. Never send passwords, API keys or installation secrets.
