InterviewCoach is operated by .Sell.Systems. Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, trading as Sell.Systems. For privacy and support requests, email cs@sell.systems or use the support page.

What the app collects

• Profile fields such as name, current title, years of experience, and focus areas.
• User-provided content such as resume/CV text, target company and role information, job-description text, and interview answers.
• Generated outputs such as interview transcripts, scoring, reports, and coaching rewrites.
• Operational metadata needed to run the service, such as timestamps, request identifiers, and service-health traces.
• An anonymous installation identifier and an authentication secret used to protect access to that installation's interviews. The server stores a secret digest, not the plaintext secret.

How the data is used

• To create candidate and role records.
• To run AI interview sessions and generate reports.
• To support retrieval, evaluation, observability, and debugging of the service.
• To operate and improve the reliability of the product.

Third-party processing

The app sends user-provided content to the InterviewCoach backend. Relevant resume, role and interview content is processed through the OpenAI API to generate questions, coaching and reports.

Private diagnostics: the running service uses self-hosted Langfuse on our own instance. Production ingestion was verified with synthetic interviews and stored readback. Diagnostic traces contain only allowlisted technical metadata, including opaque operation/session references, timings and model usage. They exclude resume text, interview answers, prompts, model outputs, names, emails, installation identifiers and authentication secrets. The local ingestion data has a 30-day retention policy. AI processing through OpenAI remains separate from these local diagnostics.

InterviewCoach does not use the app for advertising and does not sell user-provided content.

On-device behavior

• The app requires network access to function.
• The current release path does not record microphone audio.
• New interview questions are read aloud by default using an installed offline Android text-to-speech voice. You can disable automatic reading in Settings and help → Settings. The choice and an opaque already-read question reference are saved only on this device and excluded from app backup; question text and recordings are not stored in these preferences. Playback is unavailable when no offline voice supports the selected language; the app does not fall back to a network voice.
• Android cloud backup is disabled for this app release path.
• The installation secret is encrypted using Android Keystore and stored outside Android backup. Clearing app data or uninstalling can lose access to earlier interviews; there is no cross-device account recovery.

Retention and deletion

Interview data is retained as part of the working service state and operational history needed to run the product. There is currently no self-serve deletion control inside the app.

If you need data deleted, use the support path at /support/ and include any available candidate/session identifiers or the approximate submission time so the request can be handled accurately.

Support must verify ownership before deleting records; knowing an identifier alone is not authorization. Do not send installation secrets, API keys or passwords in support messages.

Security

Production and staging app traffic is served over HTTPS. The app is configured to reject cleartext HTTP traffic in the Android client.
